The Vina Blend: A Cultivated Musical Experience

Meet The Vina Blend, a soulful fusion led by Northern California veteran DJ Supe accompanied by Cowboy Marques The Guitarist. Supe, a fixture on KDEE 97.5 FM with over three decades of turntablist expertise, anchors our sound in deep rhythmic roots. Balancing the mix is Marques—a real-life horse trainer and true cowboy—whose guitar riffs seamlessly bridge Neo Soul, Funk, Pop, and more.

Our name "Vina" unites the Swahili word for "rhyme" or "verse" with the Spanish word for "vineyard," reflecting our core philosophy. Much like the distinct varietals in a fine wine or the beans in a rich coffee roast, we blend musical flavors to create a unique artistic vintage. This distinct "tasting room" vibe has made us favorites at venues like Old Sugar Mill, Tap Wine Lounge, and Calabash Caribbean Restaurant.

True to the spirit of community, our stage is an open door. We regularly invite vocalists, conscious rappers, poets, and other musicians to jam with us, expanding our sonic footprint to match the energy of the moment.This package features DJ Supe performing live on the Akai MPC drum machine, creating a soulful, rhythmic backdrop that enhances the room's flavor without overpowering conversation.

Expect a reimagined and sophisticated fusion of Soul, Afrobeats, Pop Classics, and 90s Hip-Hop grooves that keeps the energy engaging while your guests sip and socialize. It is the ideal pairing for an evening of wine, culture, and connection.

Audio

 * Microphones:

  * 1x Shure SM58 or equivalent Sennheiser microphones

  * 2x XLR inputs for microphones

 * Stage Monitors:

  * 1x Stage monitor (wedge or in-ear system)

 * DJ Booth:

  * 1x DJ booth with scrim

 * Mixing Console:

  * 1x Mixing console (at least 8 channels)

Notes:

 * Artist will provide their own electronic instruments and controllers.

 * Please ensure all equipment is properly grounded.

 * A dedicated technician for audio setup is highly recommended.

Further customization:

 * Power: Voltage and amperage requirements for the artist's equipment.

 * Backline: If the artist requires any specific backline equipment (e.g., keyboards, drum machines).

 * Lighting: Basic lighting needs for the stage.

Lounge/Green Room Requirements

 * Food:

  * Vegetable choices include Carrot sticks, Cherry tomatoes, Broccoli, Celery

   * Dip (French onion or ranch NO HUMMUS)

   * Sharp cheddar cheese

   * Meat choices include chicken rotisserie, baked or grilled salmon, shrimp, NO FRIED FOOD

   * Fruit Choices include Bannana, Strawberry, Blueberries, Apples (hybrids only... no Red delicious or granny)

   * Bottled water

Amenities:

  * Mirror

  * Access to a clean bathroom

  * Climate control (temperature regulation)

 * Please ensure the lounge/VIP section/green room is clean and tidy.

 * Quiet environment is preferred.
